Our Approach
Well-being refers to the state of feeling good and functioning effectively. It encompasses positive mental health, and the ability to cope with life’s challenges. Positive psychology provides the tools and framework to build and maintain wellbeing
Since children spend a significant part of their formative years in school, fostering their well-being is a fundamental priority within the school environment.
At Candor, we believe that well-being is at the heart of holistic development and plays a vital role in shaping students into responsible global citizens. Our approach to well-being will focus on:
- Encouraging both physical and mental health.
- Promoting active and meaningful student engagement in academics and social activities.
- Empowering students to make informed, healthy choices.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students feel valued, nurtured, and equipped to manage stress.
By prioritizing well-being, we aim to develop an environment that supports inclusion, and cultivate resilient, empathetic, and confident individuals who are prepared to thrive in all aspects of life.

Well-being through Positive Education
Concepts of Well-being will be initiated through positive education, a research based future-orientated system that embraces change. The modules in positive education aim to equip students with skills and knowledge to help optimize student wellbeing and that of the community.
Positive Education combines scientific research with effective educational practice to develop skills and knowledge in students and educators that enhance wellbeing, build resilience and optimise engagement and performance.
Developed by the Institute of Positive Education, the Positive Education Enhanced Curriculum (PEEC) will aid in applying wellbeing strategies through three main components of Discover, Participate and Experiment.
The PEEC will include modules for:
- Early Learners (up to 4 years)
- Primary Learners (5 to 12 years) and
- Secondary Learners (13 to 18 years)
With focus on:
- Mindfulness: Present, focused & aware.
- Character Strengths: What you focus on grows.
- Positive Emotions & Gratitude: Hunting the good stuff.
- Positive Relationships & Belonging: Other people matter.
- Positive Health & Resilience: The stories we tell ourselves.
- Positive Engagement & Flow: Not just dead fish that go with the flow.

- The policies are aligned to the Persons with Disabilities Act formulated by the Government of India.
Our Child Protection Policy and Inclusion Policy is reviewed once every two years to set out our commitment to protect students from harm. We expect our whole community – including staff, parents and visitors – to observe our commitment to keeping children safe.
