She started her career in the education domain with Delhi Public School. After working successfully with the national curriculum, she was drawn towards International Methodology and soon got an opportunity to join Pathways World School, Aravali where she served for over 9 years. During this period, she wore many hats and grew in each role that she stepped into. She was handpicked to be the founding faculty of Pathways School Gurgaon in 2010 as the IBPYP Coordinator. Within a span of three years, she went on to head the Primary School as the Principal, a post she held from July 2013 to June 2018. Under her leadership, the school grew phenomenally in reputation and in numbers. While she actively headed the Primary School, she also gained the experience of the entire school as a part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Her core strength comes from her clear understanding of the curriculum along with building and nurturing strong teams that are dedicated, committed and inspired. Her leadership style is working with the school community towards setting high standards and achieving them. She has an inherent acumen to connect with all – from students to teachers to the parent community with equal grace and ease. A mentor and a coach by nature, Anvita’s strength as a leader stems from her approachability, her unparalleled energy and extremely grounded strategies.
In her endeavour to provide equal opportunity for each child, she has attended workshops that focus on students with additional educational needs. She uses her knowledge and understanding to create meaningful programs in special education department.
She believes in the responsibility of educators in equipping the current generation with the skill set required to succeed in their extremely dynamic and exciting world. Hence, the need for educators to constantly upgrade their own skills to build a rich intercultural environment that is fundamental to the roots of an international school.
