Dr. Saranya Ghosh, PhD in Physics from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, visited Candor on Monday, 21 September 2015. He has worked at CERN on the Large Hadron Collider as a member of the CMS team.
He shared his knowledge and experience of discovery of Higgs Boson particle with the budding scientists of the school. The session was very informative where some special information where delivered with the support of an interesting visual presentation. The students felt that a complex topic like “Standard Model” was simplified in a way that they could easily relate to it.
The hour long talk was intellectually motivating and aroused the curiosity in the students who asked Dr. Ghosh diverse questions.
