Learning another is one of the best ways to understand another culture and develop a respect and appreciation for what that culture represents. Candor encourages this by giving opportunities for students to learn not just a Second Language but a third Language as well as the language of the home state-Karnataka.
Cross-cultural communication skills are invaluable in preparing students for the global world in which they live and will one day work.
This week showcased language skills learnt during the last few months. There were skits, general conversations, and songs that demonstrated the skills and understanding of the students in that language as well as presentations in the target languages about some special features of the culture.
