The Candor Film Appreciation Club met on Saturday 19 September, 2015. The session started after lunch with an anecdote about how an inventor thought of making sound available for films and ended up creating the optical sound track technique. The members saw how optical sound track is created and also studied how negative-positive reversal happens in a film.
The members came prepared reading up on Bicycle Thieves (1948) by Vittorio De Sica (7 July 1901 – 13 November 1974) An Italian Director and a leading figure of the neorealist movement. The screening began with a very brief introduction. The screening was followed up with an activity to record the responses of the members through a questionaivve.
