On the 26th of January, 2014, Candor celebrated the Indian Republic Day at the school campus. The Chief Guest, Brigadier Ahluwalia, hoisted the flag. His speech was inspiring; he eloquently enunciated what it means to be free and to have freedom in the midst of rules and regulations. He also explained that boundaries and rules are there to help us grow and give direction to our growth and not to hinder our growth. The Chairman, Mr. Suresh thanked all for being part of this celebration. After the flag hoisting, the students participated in a soccer match between the Grade 9 boys and the rest of the school boys. Brigadier Ahluwalia spoke to the members of the both teams and wished them good luck before the match. Both sides put up a great show. At the end, the score was 2-1, in favor of school boys! Jai Hind!
