The students of Grades 3-5 visited Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled on the 23rd May 2013.They visited the school as part of their Community Service in order to understand what goes into the teaching and learning of children who are not able to see and who are challenged in many ways. Samarthnam Trust for the Disabled admits children who are visually impaired, with hearing and speech difficulties and who are physically and mentally challenged. Children from economically weaker backgrounds attend Samarthanam which has boarding facility and provide free skill based education so that the students can be self- reliant.

Our students were lucky to witness a family who chose to celebrate the birthday of their two year old son at Samarthanam along with the children of the school. This was their way of celebrating and giving back to the society.
