An activity to heighten the interest levels of Candor’s Fourth Graders was held on the 20th of March. Theywalked together to the school pond to catch Fish and Snails to add to their little Ecosystems that they’ve been building over the last weel In keeping with the spirit of Inquiry and empowering them withfurther knowledge of how
living organisms adapt to a change in their own habitat, the children understood and grasped the definition of Terrestrial and Aquatic Life and were then able to differentiate and also discovera reciprocal relationship between the two
They came up with conclusions as to how an ecosystem would survive on its own, what would happen if it were to collapse and the effect this collapse would have on the other ecosystems.
