Tree Planting

In keeping with our being the first green school, Candor began the first of its many green activities on March 6,2012.
Grade 6,7,8,9 each adopted and planted a Neem (Margosa) sapling  in four different spots on the campus where the trees would provide maximum shade. Each class is now responsible for nurturing  and watering the saplings with the watering cans and gardening implements they have been given. It is lovely to see the students accompanied by their Homeroom teachers going out whenever they have a spare moment to tend to their saplings. These first four trees will be named after Mr. Suresh, our chairperson and his family. He, himself was present and involved in the tree planting activity.
Contributions about which trees attract butterflies and birds is ongoing and every student and staff will be able to plant a tree in the coming months.
