The inter house chess challenge was held from 2nd May to 15th of May. The tournament was held on a knock out basis for ages U-14 and U-17 categories in the middle school. The final of U-14 boys saw Sugu at his best, securing a strong advantage, which he carried through to victory against Raj. In the girls category Priyanka won the challenge after a nail biting finish against Gauri. In the U-17 boys category the finals were played between Salman and Sim. An unusual opening choice from Sim didn’t go well, and Salman eventually found a winning game plan. In the girls category Madhura played well and convincingly won the game against Haeyong.
